Hi, I am Elaine Bozza, a self-taught artist & illustrator from Sao Paulo, Brazil and living in New Zealand.

One day I was out shopping with my mother and I noticed through a gallery window people painting beautiful flowers on different surfaces, such as: cups, plates, and canvas. I fell in love with this idea and because of this all I wanted to do was painting as well.

Ever since that day, I have been involved in creative projects such as art crafts and photography. Every week after school, I would attend art classes, until I finally got my Social Communication degree at the University UNIMEP (Brazil).

I was born in the City but grew up in the country and nature has always been an inspiration for me. Even though I was incredibly happy with my surroundings I had always wanted to travel and experience different parts of the world.

Then in 2014, I decided to move to Aotearoa (New Zealand) and I was looking forward to traveling and experiencing all what NZ had to offer. After a few road trips and bush walks, I wanted to capture the islands natural beauty in a different way and that was when I decided to start learning online more about watercolours and digital art, by using Adobe Fresco/Photoshop and Procreate app.

In 2015, I went to NSIA, the Culinary & Hospitality School in Auckland, NZ, and at the end of that year the principal of the school invited me to enter the margarine sculpting competition. He taught me sculpting techniques and I went on to win 1st place. It was a great experience and met some incredibly talented people.

Over the next few years, I have been working as a chef and travelling with my partner around New Zealand. I have been reading and watching a lot of different forms of art through the internet and have been slowly improving my drawing and painting skills.

In 2019, I started a freelance career illustration with my brand called Ebozzastudio, working from home. I mainly create  illustrations and patterns inspired by wildlife & travelling for clients and collaborate with other businesses.

Still, I also love sharing information about environmental issues and encouraging people to know more about how can we preserve and protect our planet.
